Cross Country Headed to Billings for NCAA West Regionals

POMONA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's cross country teams are traveling to Billings, Montana later this week to compete in the 2024 NCAA Division II West Regionals. The two races will take place at Amend Park this Saturday, November 9th, with Montana State University Billings serving as the host institution.
 
The men's 10K race will begin at 9:00 AM PST, followed by the women's 6K race at 10:15 AM PST. Following the second event, there will be a ceremony to recognize the top runners and teams in both races.
 
The top three teams from each race will receive automatic qualifiers into the NCAA Championships, taking place November 23rd at Arcade Creek Course in Sacramento. The remaining teams will wait to see if their name will be announced in the NCAA selection press release on Monday, November 11th.
 
The men's team looks to make their 24th appearance at the NCAA Championships, as they are sending runners Leandro Candray, Christian Coley, Evan Franco, Tom McDonnell, Juan Ramos, Chris Razo, and Ethan Romero.
 
The women's team looks to make their first appearance since 2019, and sixth overall, at the NCAA Championships later this month. The Broncos will be running Chloe Alchin, Bridget Edwards, Arissa Hatcher, Galilea Jimenez, Jade Kingston, Vivian Martinez, Paige Moore, and Miranda Palacios.
