It is told in a style that moves quickly between myth and reality, with the characters occasionally speaking directly to the audience. It depicts the contrasts and conflicts between established Asian Americans and "fresh off the boat" newcoming immigrants.
- 1:59Cal Poly Universities' 2012 Rose Float "To the Rescue!"Students from Cal Poly Pomona and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo team up for the universities' 64th entry in the Rose Parade. The 2012 rose float, "To the Rescue!" features skyscrapers, a helicopter, train, pond and waterfall, and superheroes. The float traveled down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena on Monday, January 2, 2012.

The community event celebrates the life of Matthew Myers, who died in an accident on campus in 2005. The run also raises money for student scholarships.
