Carreon Named CCAA Field Athlete of the Week

By: CCAA

Cal Poly Pomona pole vaulter Isabelle Carreon soars to new heights to be selected as CCAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week, for the week of April 1-7.

Carreon set a new Cal Poly Pomona record with a clearance of 3.94 meters (12 feet, 11 inches) at the Triton Invitational at UC San Diego. She was the top collegiate athlete at the meet with a second place finish. The new career best height, a provisional qualifying mark, ranks 13th best in Division II this season.

The junior from Discovery Bay, Calif., is No. 1 in the CCAA. Carreon leads 2023 CCAA champion Amy Christiansen of San Francisco State by 5 ½ inches. Click here to see the 2024 CCAA Performance List
