MARSHALL, Minn. – Caleb Reyes added the final award to his distinguished Cal Poly Pomona career on Thursday, being named a Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America Honorable Mention. Reyes was also named an All-American last season, making him the first Bronco to earn All-American honors in back-to-back seasons since Dave Hajek in 1988 and 1989.
Reyes was named CCAA Pitcher of the Year and All-CCAA First Team for the second consecutive season in 2024, posting a 2.56 ERA with an 8-1 record in 77.1 innings. The redshirt senior struck out 60 batters while walking just 15, holding opponents to a .233 batting average and a 1.06 WHIP. Reyes was among the nation's best in multiple categories, including 17th in ERA, 66th in hits allowed per nine innings, 56th in strikeout-to-walk ratio, 48th in wins, 21st in WHIP, and 38th in walks allowed per nine innings.
In his two seasons with the Broncos, Reyes had a stellar 2.61 ERA in 155.0 innings, while owning a 15-4 record in 23 starts and recording two saves. The Encino native struck out 128 batters while surrendering just 29 walks, and allowing less than one hit per inning pitched. His career 4.41 strikeout-to-walk ratio ranks third among CPP pitchers since 2001 (minimum 50 innings), behind only Will Rudy at 5.39 and Ryan Alsworth at 5.05.
Though his time wearing the Green & Gold lasted just two seasons, Caleb Reyes will undoubtedly go down as one of the more accomplished arms in school history.
About the D2CCA
A total of 48 student-athletes were named to either the first, second or third team All-America squad while 16 were named honorable mention. The CCA All-America and All-Region baseball teams, which are selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) from schools playing Division II baseball, were first established in 2007. This is the ninth year in which the program is solely sponsored by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association.
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.

Mizrahi had most recently been serving as a program associate with the Broncos since the 2020 season, helping lead the team to an overall record of 109-74 (.596) and three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances during that span.
