Men’s Soccer Hosting Spring ID Camp on May 4th

POMONA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team is hosting its Spring Identification Camp on Sunday, May 4th for high school through sophomore college-age players. Registration is now open!
Cal Poly Pomona Men's Soccer Soccer ID camps give prospective student athletes collegiate level training, as well as allow them to experience what it is like to be a student athlete at CPP. Camp attendees will leave campus having a good feel for what it would be like to be a Bronco after training sessions with the coaching staff, 11v11 scrimmages, working with current players on the CPP team, and touring the campus.
The ID Camp, which will take place on the CPP practice fields and game field, will go from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and is $175 per participant.

- Kevin Gomez Named Assistant Athletics Director for DevelopmentKevin Gomez has joined Cal Poly Pomona Athletics as the new Assistant Athletics Director for Development, it was announced by Director of Athletics Brian Swanson and Executive Director of Development Pam Jones-Tintle on Friday. Gomez, who most recently served as the Assistant Director of Athletics Advancement at Claremont McKenna College, began his role on Wednesday, January 15th.

- CPP Athletics Sets Department Record With No. 4 Ranking in Learfield Director’s CupThe National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) released the fall national standings for the Learfield Director's Cup on Monday morning, seeing Cal Poly Pomona receive it's highest ranking in department history at No. 4 in all of NCAA Division II with 267.0 total points. Only Grand Valley State, Wingate, and Colorado State Pueblo beat out the Broncos with more points.
- Alum Cesar Ruvalcaba Taken by Columbus Crew in MLS SuperDraftFormer Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer captain, and two-time All-American, Cesar Ruvalcava was taken by the Columbus Crew in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft on Friday afternoon. The South Gate native was taken in the second round, 51st overall, out of Southern Methodist University.
