BILLINGS, Mont. – The Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country team placed fourth in the NCAA West Regional 10K on Saturday morning in Billings, Montana. The team averaged 31:28 in the race, just three seconds behind the third-place time that would've earned the team an automatic qualification in nationals. Now, the Broncos must await the NCAA Selection Release on Monday morning.
The team has now finished in the Top 5 of the West Regionals in each of the past six seasons.
Leandro Candray repeated as the top finisher for the Broncos, running 31:07.3 and averaging 5:01.2 per mile.
