Bam Johnson Picks Up All-CCAA Honors

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – Cal Poly Pomona sophomore Bam Johnson was named an All-CCAA honorable mention for the 2023-24 season, it was announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning.
Johnson is the first Bronco All-CCAA honoree since the 2021-22 season, when the Broncos had three players selected. He is also the sixth player since the 2014-15 season to be named an honorable mention.
The sophomore out of Carson ranked second on the team in scoring this season with 251 points, averaging 9.7 per game. He also led the Broncos with 772 minutes played – averaging 29.7 in each game – as well as leading with 70 assists on the season. Johnson reached double figures in 11 games this season, including a career-high 29 point performance against San Francisco State on December 7th.
In two seasons at Cal Poly Pomona, Johnson has scored 464 points with 131 total rebounds, having started in 36 of his 52 games played. This includes 169 field goals made, shooting .413 from the field, 38 three-point field goals made, 127 assists, and 45 steals.

Winfield has reached double figures in ten games this season, including his first 20-point game against Concordia on November 25th. The St. Louis native ranks third on the team in points this season, just 11 points away from surpassing his last year's total.
