Mads Frederiksen Named CCAA Offensive Player of the Week

Cal Poly Pomona's Mads Frederiksen is the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 3.
Frederiksen scored twice to lead the Broncos to a pair of wins to help Cal Poly Pomona remain in the battle for a regular season championship. He scored the game-winner in Friday's 3-0 win over Cal Poly Humboldt and got the Broncos started on offense on Sunday against Sonoma State.
The junior forward from Viborg, Denmark scored his Sunday goal just 57 seconds into the match that set the tone for CPP as the Broncos routed SSU.
The senior forward from Watsonville leads CSUMB with 10 points on four goals and two assists during conference play. He is third in the CCAA with 1.50 shots on goal per match and is seventh in scoring with 13 points. Click here to see the complete CCAA stats leaders
Cal Poly Pomona extended its unbeaten streak to 15 matches (9-0-6). The Broncos are in a three-way tie with Cal State LA and Cal State Dominguez Hills each at 5-0-5 in CCAA play heading into the regular season finale. CPP hosts Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday while LA and CSUDH go head-to-head in Carson.
