INDIANAPOLIS – In the 50th season of Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball, the Broncos will make their 30th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, it was announced by the NCAA on Sunday night. The Broncos have built one of their best resumes in recent years, as they own a 25-5 overall record, securing the No. 2 seed in the West Region.
The eight-team regional will be hosted by No. 1 seed Cal State Dominguez Hills at the Torodome in Carson. Should the Broncos win the West Regional, they will advance to the Elite Eight – which will be hosted at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from March 24-28th.

Head coach Danelle Bishop makes her ninth appearance with Cal Poly Pomona in the national tournament, in just her 14th season at the helm. Bishop has led the Broncos as far as the Final Four back in 2014, losing to the eventual national champion Bentley University. In Bishop's very first season with CPP in 2010-11, she led the Broncos all the way to the Elite Eight with a 28-5 record. In total, Bishop's squads are 9-7 in NCAA postseason competition.
Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball is one of the most storied programs in NCAA Division II history, currently holding the most national titles among active DII schools with five. This includes winning the first-ever DII championship held in 1982, where legendary coach Darlene May guided the Broncos to their first title with a 29-7 record. They went on to win back-to-back titles in 1985 and 1986, followed by another back-to-back title run in 2001 and 2002.

The Broncos will face No. 7 seed Chico State in the quarterfinals of the NCAA West Regional this Friday, March 14th, at 2:30 PM. If they win, they will advance to the semifinals on Saturday at 5:00 PM against either No. 3 Point Loma or No. 6 Central Washington. Due to multiple schools having religious affiliations that do not permit them to play on Sundays, the regional final will be played on Monday, March 17th, at 7:00 PM.
All games will be available to watch on FloCollege. It was previously shared that the tournament would be streamed for free, however, FloSports has since purchased the streaming rights to the NCAA West Regional. Users will now be required to pay to view the games.
