Cal Poly Pomona's Gavin Hanes has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Field Athlete of the Week, becoming the third consecutive Bronco to pick up this honor.
Hanes won the pole vault event at the Mangrum Invitational at Cal State San Marcos as he cleared 5.02 meters (16 feet, 5.5 inches), which is a NCAA provisional qualifying mark. The junior from Riverside now ranks second in the CCAA and 11th in Division II. The mark is also the sixth best in Cal Poly Pomona program top 10 list.
Hanes is the third consecutive Bronco to snag the Field of the Week award with fellow pole vaulter Jered Beasley taking the honor two weeks ago. Last week, CPP high jumper Kailen Smith was the winner.

The Broncos will compete at the UCSD Triton Invitational in La Jolla this weekend.
