Broncos Dominate Beach Opener with Top Times and NCAA Provisional Marks

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos showcased impressive performances at the Beach Opener at Cal State Long Beach, continuing their outdoor track and field season with several standout achievements.
Samira Stevenson made a significant mark in the 100-meter dash, recording a time of 12.00, securing her spot as the tenth fastest in program history.
Jessica James delivered an outstanding performance in the 400-meter dash, finishing second with a time of 55.61. This marks the 6th fastest time in program history and earned her an NCAA DII Provisional mark. She also currently holds the fourth fastest time in the nation. Meanwhile, Arissa Hatcher won the 400-meter with a time of 2:12.50, which is the seventh fastest time in the nation.
Vivian Martinez achieved a personal best in the 3000-meter with a time of 9:41.56, clocking in the second fastest time in program history. Jade Kingston also contributed to the program's success by entering the top 10 in the 3000-meter with a time of 9:57.59.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Neshara Smith posted the second fastest time in program history, running a 13.65, which earned her an NCAA Division II Provisional mark. She currently holds the fastest time in the nation. Miranda Palacios also made history, recording the second fastest time in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:51.31, earning the NCAA DII provisional mark and securing the second fastest time in the nation.
Julia Butler followed with an impressive performance in the 3000-meter steeplechase, clocking in at 11:34.79, which placed her among the top 10 in program history. In the pole vault, Isabelle Carreon emerged victorious with a mark of 3.78m, which is currently the fifth best mark in the nation. Lastly, Mi'ah Molette threw a 49.58m in the hammer throw, marking the fourth best mark in program history.
