By: Alex Kline, Assistant Athletics Director for Communications
TURLOCK, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team had a strong showing in Day 2 of the CCAA Championships on Friday, climbing from sixth place to second in the team leader board.
This improvement was thanks to a first place finish from Shona Christensen in the shot put, setting a personal record of 13.36 meters. She has now contributed 15 points out of CPP's 42. Isabelle Carreon and Sarah Lindenthal each contributed six points with third place finishes, rounding out CPP's All-CCAA honorees through the first two days.
