Neshara Smith to Make NCAA Indoor Nationals Debut

POMONA, Calif. - Neshara Smith has earned an at-large bid to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. She will compete in two events: the 60-meter hurdles and the long jump. Smith secured her spot in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.45 seconds at Premier Meet #1, setting a new school record. In the long jump, she qualified with a mark of 5.95 meters at Premier Meet #2, breaking another school record.
This will be Smith's first appearance at the NCAA Championships. Head Coach Chris Bradford commented, "Neshara has come in and made an immediate positive impact on our program, her selection to the NCAA championships means the rest of the country gets to see what an amazing student athlete she is. I am really looking forward to seeing her compete with the best in the NCAA"
The championship will take place at the Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana, from March 13-15, 2025. Smith will compete in both the 60-meter hurdles and long jump on Friday, March 14th.
