Women’s Track and Field Three-Peats in Turlock

TURLOCK, Calif. – For the third consecutive season, the Cal Poly Pomona women's track and field team has won the CCAA Track and Field Championships. This year, they needed just 159.5 points to claim the title, defeating Chico State (130.5) and Cal State San Bernardino (127).
Ayana Fields won the women's 200m with a time of 24.32. It was her third consecutive CCAA 200m Championship and sixth individual title overall. She also partnered with Jaelyn Thomas, Yuna Queniat, and Ari Milton to capture the 4x400m relay title for the Broncos for the third straight season. Shona Christensen gave CPP a champion in the field events as she threw the shot put 43-10 (13.36m).
In total, the Broncos broke 22 personal records with 7 NCAA provisional qualifiers and entering the record book twice.

The previous record was also Cal Poly Pomona during the 2021-22 academic year. This was also Ayana Fields' ninth career award, the second-most in conference history to only her brother, Ryan.
