Going Dancing! Volleyball Makes Third Consecutive NCAA Appearance
By: Alex Kline, Assistant Athletics Director for Communications
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – For the third consecutive season under head coach Traci Dahl, and the 19th time in program history, the CPP women's volleyball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament. After accumulating a 21-7 overall record, and tying a program record with 14 sweeps on the season, the Broncos were seeded No. 3 in the West Region.
The eight-team regional will be hosted by No. 2 seed Cal State San Bernardino, in Coussoulis Arena located in San Bernardino, CA. This will be the fourth time that CPP has gone to CSUSB for the NCAA Tournament, having done so in 2007, 2008, and 2021. In 2008, the Broncos made it to the West Region finals before falling to Cal State San Bernardino. In total, CPP is 2-3 in Coussoulis Arena during the NCAA postseason.
"We are very excited about the West Region competition and believe we are positioned to compete for a championship," said Dahl. "As always, we will approach our opponents the same way we did for preseason and the regular season, focusing on bringing a high level of play on our side of the court."

Game Info
As the No. 3 seed, the Broncos will face No. 6 seed Point Loma next Thursday, November 30th, at 5:00 PM PST – assuming none of the earlier games delay the start time. The Sea Lions have put together an impressive season, going 21-6 overall and 18-2 in conference. The two teams faced each other earlier this season on September 8th, when the Broncos swept PLNU 3-0 in Kellogg Arena during the Bronco Fall Classic. However, immediately following their 1-3 stint in the Bronco Fall Classic, the Sea Lions went on a 16-game winning streak and ultimately clinched the PacWest Conference Title.
"As a program, we celebrated our regular season success and plan to take that confidence with us to the tournament," continued Dahl. "The focus is always on improving our side of the court. The CCAA conference is arguably one of the best volleyball conferences in the nation. Every match we played prepared us for the postseason."
Each of the past three trips to the NCAA Tournament have included veteran players Daisy Duke, Kaitlan Tucker, Madison Novak, and Jenna O'Shea. "All four veteran players are very accomplished and we lean on each of them because of their experience, expectations for teammates, and their ability to bring their game," added Dahl. "We are looking forward to competing in a very familiar facility at CSUSB next Thursday."
