Duke, Campion, and Mueller Earn All-West Region Honors

POMONA, Calif. – Daisy Duke, Samantha Campion, and Caitie Mueller each earned Division II All-West Region honors, it was announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Wednesday morning. The team's three selections is tied for the most in a season in a program history, the only other time this happened was in 2005.
Duke repeated as an AVCA All-West Region First Team honoree, her third consecutive season earning the award. Mueller also repeated as an AVCA All-West Region Honorable Mention, her second time earning the award in as many seasons with the Broncos. Campion was named AVCA All-West Region First Team for the first time in her career, becoming the 21st Bronco to earn AVCA all-region honors.
All three have played major roles in the Broncos' success this season. Duke ranks Top 150 in the country in attacks per set (9.01), hitting percentage (.309), kills per set (3.70), points per set (4.43), and total kills (329). She also ranks 22nd among active DII players in career total kills with 1,245.
Mueller ranks Top 50 in both assists per set (10.53) and total assists (1,074) this season, while she ranks 14th among active DII players in career assists per set with 10.34.
Campion ranks Top 200 in the nation in just about every statistical category, including aces per set (0.39), attacks per set (9.29), hitting percentage (.257), kills per set (3.54), points per set (4.24), service aces (40), total attacks (947), total digs (321), and total kills (361).
In addition to the AVCA, the Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association (D2CCA) also announced their All-West Region teams on Wednesday afternoon. Duke was the lone Bronco to be recognized by that organization, picking up All-West Region Second Team honors. Last season, Duke was named D2CCA All-West Region first team, and is the 10th Bronco to earn regional honors by the D2CCA.
