The two California Polytechnic universities, located at opposite ends of the state, will face off in a wide array of athletic competitions under the banner of this new rivalry.

- Broncos Power Past Cougars in Season OpenerIn a hard-fought battle, the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos emerged victorious over the Azusa Pacific Cougars, 66-58, in both teams' season opener. The win was a statement for the Broncos, who showcased depth and resilience, with 10 players seeing action and 9 of them scoring.
Women's Basketball
- Big Fourth Quarter Leads No. 19 Broncos to First WinThe Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team picked up their first win of the season on Saturday night, defeating Point Loma by a score of 71-66. After trailing 30-26 at the end of the first half, the Broncos kicked it into high gear with 45 points in the second half to come back for the victory.
- Broncos Fall to Cougars in Nationally-Ranked Season OpenerAll 11 Broncos that touched the floor on Friday night scored, but it wasn't enough as the No. 19 Broncos fell to No. 18 Azusa Pacific by a score of 50-75. The entire CCAA struggled in their season openers, as eight of the conference's teams lost their opening game.
Men's Cross Country

It is the team's 24th appearance at the national championships in program history, and their ninth in the past 11 seasons.
- Men’s Cross Country Places Fourth at West RegionalsThe Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country team placed fourth in the NCAA West Regional 10K on Saturday morning in Billings, Montana. The team averaged 31:28 in the race, just three seconds behind the third-place time that would've earned the team an automatic qualification in nationals.
