A new tradition is set to ignite the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) sports scene as the inaugural Cal Poly Clash: Battle of the Green & Gold kicks off this October, pitting Cal Poly Humboldt against Cal Poly Pomona in an annual rivalry series. The two California Polytechnic universities, located at opposite ends of the state, will face off in a wide array of athletic competitions under the banner of this new rivalry.

On September 24, 2014, the Cal Poly Pomona Department of Intercollegiate Athletics revealed its new visual identity, including a new primary logo, secondary logo, font, and website to refresh the department's brand image. In the decade since CPP donned its new spirit mark, the athletics department has done one thing – win.

Over a thousand student-athletes across 12 CCAA member institutions and 13 sports earned CCAA All-Academic honors for the 2023-24 school year. Cal Poly Pomona ranked sixth with 93 athletes recognized.

Cal Poly Pomona's women's track & field student-athlete Ayana Fields has earned the distinguished 2023-24 CCAA Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.

The California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) announced its academic awards for the winter and spring sports on Tuesday morning, with 60 Broncos being recognized. That mark is the fifth-most in the conference, however, it ranks first in the CCAA on a per-sport basis.

Cal Poly Pomona spring sports saw 11 student-athletes earn recognition on Tuesday for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Three student-athletes earned the recognition in the winter, while four earned it in the fall – bringing this year's total to 18 for the department.

The Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's track and field teams earned NINE All-America awards on the final day of the 2024 season, including two podium finishes by Matteo Madrassi in pole vault (3rd) and Ryan Fields in the 400 meter hurdles (2nd).

The Broncos concluded day two of the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships on Friday, seeing four Top-10 finishes and advancing to the finals in three separate events. Cal Poly Pomona is now set for a loaded season finale, as they will compete in the finals of seven events on Saturday.
